22 Fast, 22 Furious
It’s me and Laine’s 22nd anniversary tomorrow and the heat wave finally broke so we did our customary Route 66 tourism day today.

The Dirt Mall
Laine let me persuade her to go to the South County Antique Mall yesterday. We only saw maybe an eighth of it before we felt compelled to go home and get rid of some stuff we already own.

Roar
We actually went to the current SLAM big exhibit Roaring: Art, Fashion and the Automobile in France 1918-1939, twice so far. And not just because it’s an air conditioned car show.

Red White and Boo.
We watched this PBS documentary last night and it’s extremely on point for today. https://www.pbssocal.org/shows/artbound/episodes/la-raza I’ve got few words for now. I got a new camera two weeks ago and I’ve just been taking pictures to learn how to use it.

Spring forward
We are now a two e-bike household! We just returned from a quick errand to drop off a USB microscope at our friends’ house, as you do. I fell off after a record 45 seconds on the road, but I’m fine and now that’s out of the way. We’re prepping for our first tent camping…

Is this 1st or 2nd false spring?
I’m pretty sure we already had the crocuses pop out, so this must be 2nd, right?

Pants off Dance off
It’s Friday. It’s really cold. Make a cup of cocoa or tea and listen to some music you like. I have nothing left in the tank today. I’m going to go sit in front of the fire and pretend it’s spring.

The unfrozening
It’s 47° today! The ice/sleet/snow spackle is finally dissolving from St. Louis city streets (allegedly). We might even be able to safely go on a walk outside, soon! This week was as terrible as we expected. I’ve chosen to be a source of joy on the internet. Not in a toxic positivity sort of way,…

Snowmageddon!
We got back to St. Louis the day before the wintry mix joined the chat. We had French toast THREE times. Once with homemade bread. And we’ve watched a LOT of animé. I love snow, but I would also love to go for a long walk without dying.

Mourning Is Broken
Today is my birthday. I’m 47, but I’ve been telling people I was 47 since 2020, so I’m just gonna be 50 and stop worrying about it. Laine’s dad died five days ago and it’s been another really sad Dillcember, but we’ve worked in some bright spots. I got my annual haircut. We celebrated Friday…
